Ohio Fallen Heroes Memorial

10th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Service

September 11, 2011 will mark ten years since the fateful destination of four hijacked airplanes

changed the lives of every American. The days, weeks, months and years following those acts

of evil forever altered the lives of our Armed Services and their families. America mobilized to

take the fight to those responsible and to prevent another attack on American soil. Ten years

later the battles are still being waged, but thankfully in faraway lands led by our bravest and

best. These sacrifices do not come without a price. We will never forget these brave souls and

we should do all we can to help their families and respect the sacrifice they made.

It is with this spirit that the Ohio Fallen Heroes Memorial was created. The Ohio Fallen Heroes

Memorial was the first of its kind in the country dedicated to those lost in the Global War on

Terror since September 11, 2001. In order to recognize and honor the largest contingent of

Gold Star Families, friends and grateful citizens, the memorial service is held on the Saturday

closest to 9/11.

This year, on Saturday September 10th, we will take a moment to reflect on the past decade

and the men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. Please join us to say thank you

to those who will forever be known as Ohio's Fallen Heroes.
