Hatfield’s career includes more than 30 years as a manager in the telecommunications services field. After graduating from Franklin University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Marketing and Business Management, he joined AT&T and has held various positions ranging from sales, customer service, and project management.
Along with his career, Hatfield has always been committed to community service, volunteering for numerous organizations, committees, and his church. Hatfield ran for village council and mayor because of his love for the community where he grew up and his commitment to bring his business experience and leadership to the Village of Sunbury. Hatfield has served the village of Sunbury with two terms on Village council and is currently in his third year of his second term as mayor.
Hatfield is committed to keeping the small town values that are so important to the residents of Sunbury, while continuing to shape the village as it transitions to a city. Hatfield has a no nonsense practical approach of doing what is best for the Village, through streamlining processes, establishing strategic alliances with his peers at the county and state, while balancing Sunbury’s rich history.
Hatfield has spent 49 of his 53 years in the community, and is a 1983 graduate of Big Walnut. Hatfield has been married to his wife Jackie for 31 years and raised their three children, Sidney, Guy, and Sarah.
